Work Starts to Fix Sewer Infiltration

Back in December we reported that Thames Water had identified areas of significant groundwater ingress into Chesham's sewers. All this additional water going to Chesham Sewage Treatment Works is contributing to the problem of sewage releases polluting the river.
In a positive step for the river, in the week beginning 1st March, Thames Water teams will be starting work to fix parts of the sewer network in 10 Chesham hotspots where this groundwater infiltration is occurring. They will be working overnight to minimise disruption.
