Sewage pollution

We were informed on the morning of the 15th January by Thames Water that their Chesham Sewage Treatment Work was discharging storm sewage into the Chess.

At the present time, we have no further information regarding how long the discharge took place for or the volume of sewage released into the water.

If you are planning to access the river for work, study or recreation in the near future, we would recommend postponing this.
